Coarse Pre-Treatment Screen

Intelligent Screening for Reliable Wastewater Treatment

The Biotech Water Mechanical Bar Screen is a heavy-duty automatic screening system designed to remove coarse floating and suspended solids from sewage and industrial wastewater before they enter downstream treatment processes.

Installed at the inlet of STP, ETP, Pumping Stations, and Water Treatment Plants, the screen protects pumps, pipelines, valves, aeration systems, and other mechanical equipment from clogging and damage while reducing maintenance costs.

6-Step Process Cycle

Mechanical Bar Screen: How It Works

A continuous, mechanical rake operation designed for high debris loads

1

Inlet Intake Flow

Raw wastewater flows directly through stationary screen bars installed in the channel.

2

Debris Retention

Large floating solids, wood pieces, rags, and plastics are retained on the screen surface.

3

Motor Rake Activation

An efficient motor-driven rake travels upward along the screen bars triggered by timer or differential level.

4

Upward Extraction

Debris is securely lifted from the screen spacing by the matching teeth of the traveling rake.

5

Automatic Discharge

Screenings are automatically wiped and discharged into a transport conveyor or collection bin.

6

Continuous Reset

The clean rake returns to its primary starting position to continue the non-stop protective cycle.
